Ymateb gan Unigolyn | Evidence from Individual

What are your views on the general principles of the Bill and the need for legislation to deliver the Welsh Government’s stated policy objective (to make the Senedd a more effective legislature by ensuring it is broadly representative of the gender make-up of the population)?

I believe in sex rather than gender. The Welsh government needs to protect the rights of women. Women should be defined by sex not gender. Gender is a social construct. We all know that this piece of legislation will be used by men who identify as women. Where is the equality in that? It will probably lead to women’s rights being totally destroyed in Wales.

What are your views on the system of enforcement and potential sanctions for non-compliance proposed in the Bill?

What a joke. We all know that men will self identify as women as in other areas such as sport. It will lead to transwomen dominating politics in Wales. A concern as policies to protect women are not a priority and often a target for trans rights activists.

Are there any potential barriers to the implementation of the Bill’s provisions? If so, what are they, and are they adequately taken into account in the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum and Regulatory Impact Assessment?

Women are never taken into consideration. Unisex toilets in schools are an example of this. My daughter doesn’t use the toilets at school because of the Welsh governments decision that toilets in schools should be unisex. This bill is the same. Pretends it will improve things but won’t. Sex not gender!

Are any unintended consequences likely to arise from the Bill?

Yes, the list will mean that trans women  will be given positions of power and counted as women. This is really insulting to women. It’s happened in sport and it will happen in politics.

What are your views on the Welsh Government’s assessment of the financial and other impacts of the Bill?

The Welsh government doesn’t need to spend money on more people to police the unpolicable.

What are your views on the balance between the information contained on the face of the Bill and what is left to subordinate legislation? Are the powers for Welsh Ministers to make subordinate legislation appropriate?

I have no idea.

Do you have any views on matters relating to the legislative competence of the Senedd including compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights?

The European Convention on Human Rights article 9 is freedom of expression. Will women be allowed to protest if transwomen are on the lists as female? What if they self iD? Trans women are trans women they are not women!

Do you have any views on matters related to the quality of the legislation, or to the constitutional or other implications of the Bill?

I don’t see the need for it really as a woman.

Are there any other issues that you would like to raise about the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum or any related matters?

The Welsh Government need to focus on helping young women by not giving one  group (trans women/men) opportunity to gain power and insult women by pretending to be women. It is an ideology that sex can be changed and not a belief that is shared by most people.
